The question we get asked the most is ‘should I take a Mindful Birth course AND an NCT course?’. Previous clients have dubbed us ‘the modern alternative to NCT’, so what’s the answer?
With the cost of living crisis impacting so many, we want to reassure people who are not sure that you do not need to invest in both. So let us explain what you can expect from The Mindful Birth Group:
Support from the moment you book your course
We recommend that parents book their course once they have had their 12 week scan, to take the course at around the 26 week mark. As soon as they’ve booked they can start accessing:-
- Online pregnancy yoga – live and also recorded to access when you can
- Relaxation sessions – live and also recorded to access when you can
- ‘Ask the midwife’ online group
- Moderated and safe online communities to meet others on a similar path to you, including IVF pregnancies, same-sex couples, solo parents, pregnancy after loss and many more.
Mindful Natal® group courses are 8 hours of live learning and are:
Independent
We are proud to be independent of any trust or health care organisation so that the information we share can remain unbiased, especially around birth options and baby feeding choices. We do not believe there is one best way for everyone in all areas.
Inclusive of all births
We have two options for the courses, one for vaginal birth preference and one for caesarean abdominal birth preference. We include what to expect at an induced and assisted birth and how to apply all the tools and techniques to every birth scenario, especially when navigating unexpected turns.
Inclusive of all paths to parenthood
The language we use, imagery and course materials are inclusive for everyone; however the baby has been conceived, or their home set up will be.
You also gain access to:
1:1 teacher support for personalised information
When you book your course, your teacher will be in touch to introduce themselves. From then on, they are available to ask questions via the PregnaHub® right up until you meet your baby.
Online resource library
You will have access to a host of valuable resources such as baby feeding videos, newborn sleep, newborn care, essential first aid, soothing your baby and more, all the way up to choosing childcare and weaning baby.
Fourth trimester support
Every parent gains access to a 1 hour private postnatal doula session on Zoom which can be used any time in the 1st three months post-birth. The online community is also there for the postnatal months, and we support your long-term physical and mental recovery with parent and baby yoga sessions once you are ready to join them.
In summary
Mindful Natal® takes a modern, inclusive and holistic approach to antenatal and postnatal education, and we are there with you at every step of the way.
You can take your course on Zoom, in person, in a group or privately, and prices start from £245.
We are here for you every step of the way with our online PregnaHub® subscription and award-winning antenatal hypnobirthing courses:
