Postnatal Recovery

We are the only birth preparation organisation to provide comprehensive and live postnatal recovery preparation and support. The fourth trimester is the recovery part of birth and so it is vital that you prepare for it and understand what to expect from it too.

After the birth comes postnatal recovery

We so often put most of the focus on the baby during this time, but it’s important that you are cared for and supported before you can even begin to look after someone else.

At The Mindful Birth Group®. we are proud to support every parent who takes a course with us with the following:

Preparation during pregnancy:

Recorded sessions that cover the hours, days, weeks and months post-birth. What to expect and how to support your recovery from all kinds of births. We encourage partners or any other people who will be supporting you to watch the sessions too.

Postnatal planning document to ensure you think of all aspects of the support you will need

Pregnancy yoga pilates & aerobics which supports the mind and body for  postnatal recovery too.

Ask the midwife chat group to ask any questions that come up along the way. Birth preferences can change which may mean adapting your recovery plan.

Evidence-based information available via the PregnaHub® to read and digest in your own time.

Live support after the birth:

1 hour live session on Zoom with a qualified postnatal doula. This is for those taking a Mindful Natal® course with us. We recommend booking your session in the first few weeks post birth as this is when having a non-judgemental, listening ear to talk to and ask questions can be incredibly helpful.

Find out more about postnatal doulas here.

Ask the doula chat group for any questions about baby care or birth recovery.

Parent and baby yoga recorded sessions to aid physical and emotional healing and bonding with baby.

Evidence-based information available via the PregnaHub® to read and digest in your own time.

Mindful Natal® local teacher knowledge

As with many areas you may need support with, your local teacher will be able to  share local recommendations of free and private support in the form of support groups or lactation consultants.

1:1 support with a postnatal doula

We really believe in live 1:1 support being key for a breastfeeding journey and so include a 1 hour session on Zoom with a professional postnatal doula which we recommend booking in the early days post-birth so that you can ask any questions about breastfeeding when you actually have your baby with you.
